Who is The Voltas for?
The Voltas is designed for professionals in immersive design and digital arts: freelancers formalising their practice, studios standardising their operations, academics bridging practice and industry, and cross-discipline practitioners working across gaming, architecture, performance, and digital arts.
What does the Free membership include?
Free members get a verified public profile in the member directory, access to the events calendar, and the ability to read all published journal articles. Six starter tools are included too; the other thirteen tools and journal contribution rights need an Affiliate or Researcher plan.
What do I get as an Affiliate member?
Affiliate members get all nineteen tools (the six starter tools plus the H&S Logbook, Team Resource Planner, Licensing and Rights Checker and the rest), a verified member badge, and the ability to search and contact the full member directory.
What does Researcher membership add?
Researcher membership includes everything in Affiliate, plus the ability to submit practitioner research to the Voltas Journals for peer review and publication, a researcher badge with a visible publication record, and early contributor status.
How do I join The Voltas?
Visit the Plan page to select your membership tier. Registration takes less than a minute and you receive instant access upon confirmation.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account dashboard at any time. You retain access until the end of your current billing period. All paid plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. Contact us within 14 days of purchase to request a full refund. After the cooling-off period, refunds are not typically offered for unused time, though you can cancel at any time.
What is the verified member badge?
The badge is a digital credential that confirms your active standing in The Voltas. It is linkable from proposals, your portfolio, email signature, or LinkedIn.
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. The Voltas does not store card details. Subscriptions renew automatically based on your chosen billing cycle (monthly or annual). If a payment fails, the system will retry over the following days.
How do the Journals work?
The Voltas Journals publish practitioner-led research in immersive design and digital arts. Published articles are edited by the editorial team, and new submissions go through peer review. Free and Affiliate members can read all published articles. Researcher members can submit original research, case studies, and practice notes.
Can I share my login with others?
No. Membership is personal and non-transferable. Sharing login credentials is against our Terms and Conditions and may result in account suspension.
